I've
said it many times before (hic) and I'll say it again (oh no !!!)
- the Midnight Pumpkin Trucks and Junction are two of the best
bands in Derby, full stop !!! - To have them both appearing at
the same venue on the same night is just awesome.
Haslams
was alive & rockin tonight, and what a night was in store.
Junction opened the proceedings with pure classic Rock. We've been
privileged to see this young band from their early days and now
they're well into their stride oozing confidence and musical
ability. It's great to see the music from my youth (hic) being
performed Live.
After
a short interval The Midnight Pumpkin Trucks were on stage and oh
boy were the crowd in for a treat ! - with a new lead singer
fronting the band the Trucks let rip. People were up, the dance
area spilled over further down into the room and Haslams was just
rockin !
A good night,
yes, but what I should say is that this was a truly fantastic night /
gig - I know I always say that after the Trucks and Junction have
played but believe me when I say that I reckon this gig topped all
of the previous ones ! - crikey, can't wait for the next one then
!
A big
thankyou to everyone who supported tonight's Gig, thanks to John
McNeilly and Adrian Summerscales for organising the event and also
to Dave Blakemore for his part in arranging for the Trucks and
Junction to be at Haslams. Thanks to Jon Tizard for running the
auction and Thanks too to Ian and the bar staff who
did a great job.
I've
put a selection of the photos that I took from the gig on this
page and I've also included a small movie clip (below) and
here's an extract of an audio
clip just in case you cannot play the
movie.
The movie
requires
Adobe Flash Player 6 or
above and is 2.38mb in size, the
audio clip is a MP3 file and it's 464kb in size.
Merry Christmas and have a great New Year.
