"Strong showing for Under 11s at Sandal Festival.

Derby RFC Under 11s team showed great early season form by defeating 3 strong sides at the Sandal Festival. 

The Tigers earned a single try wins against both Morpeth and Otley, with tries scored by Joe Martin before losing to the hosts and eventual tournament winners, Sandal Wasps. 

Derby finished the Pool stage with a comfortable win over Hull Ionians, with tries from Gareth Sandbrook and Josh Papanicalauo. 

Throughout the tournament Derby played excellent attacking rugby along with a strong defence that did not concede a point in 3 out of the 4 games.
