In the two
years since its inception, The Lexus Junior Rugby Festival has quickly become a
fixture on many rugby clubs’ sporting calendars, bringing together 3,840
competitors in four age-groups (U13 – U16) from 48 clubs, across the country.
The
tournament gives high-class junior players the chance to continue to develop
their potential in a competitive but supportive environment; a unique event
which we are proud to have made our own, with five regional tournaments taking
place over two weekends. This year the event also falls during the Rugby World
Cup, so we can look forward to interest and enthusiasm being especially high.
The pursuit of
perfection
The synergy
of the guiding principles that drive Lexus, the spirit of challenge and ‘The
pursuit of perfection’, with the world of sport is clear. Also clear, is the
occasion the event provides for Centres to forge strong links within their local
community through the sponsoring and support of a rugby club.
Perhaps one
day the players at this year’s Festival will be turning out at Twickenham,
Murrayfield or Cardiff Arms Park to represent their nations. When they do, we
aim to make sure that Lexus is still at the pinnacle of luxury, performance and
technology. Lexus Hybrid Drive, offering high performance without the high fuel
consumption or CO² emissions is evidence of that commitment. And best of all,
you won’t have to wait years for this advanced technology to arrive in the
showrooms; the Lexus RX 400h and GS 450h are already there, while our new
flagship, the LS 600h arrives in November.
Top support
from Richard Hill
The Lexus
Junior Rugby Festival has the support of England International Richard Hill. As
well as attending the event at Old Albanians, he will be running an exclusive
training session later in October with twenty young players, winners in the
Lexus Junior Rugby Festival prize draw.
