Welcome back to another fun packed, busy season! We are
starting straight away with two very busy Registration days
that are taking place Sunday, September 2ND and 9th
between 10.15 – 12.15. You will find the Registration
Secretary, Annette Fish, together with Team Managers in the
clubhouse ready to assist you in registering your child for the
coming season.
Registration
Each player needs to complete a
Derby RFC Player
Registration Form (form is in Adobe PDF format) that details player’s home contact
information, school details and medical information. Please ensure that all
medical information is given in detail, as it is very important for Team
Managers and Coaches to know of any medical conditions. If medical information
changes during the course of the season, please update your child’s coach and
inform the Registration Secretary so forms can be updated.
The annual subscription for the 2007/2008 season (completed
registrations up to Sunday October 22nd 2007) are being kept at last
season’s prices; £40 for up to U12 (Minis) and £45 for U13 to U17 (Juniors).
After October 21st 2007, the subscriptions will be £45 for Minis and £50 for
Juniors. So get your registrations in early! If 2 or more children attend from
the same family there is a £5 discount for the family.
Cheques to be made payable to "DRFC M&J section" with the
cheque card number on the rear.
U8, U11, U13, U16 and U18 (Colts)
All players in these age groups also need to re-register
with the RFU by completing a new
RFU Registration form
(form is in Adobe PDF format)
and also need to provide TWO
passport size photographs (name and age group on the back of each photo please).
Each player will need to hand in all forms and subscription
payment at the same time for their registration to be processed and completed by
the Registration Secretary.
After Sunday October 21st 2007 only those players whose
registration has been completed will be eligible to represent the club
in any competitive fixtures. We appreciate your support in registering players
early in the season. This is to enable the club to meet RFU requirements.
Please make the most of our new Registration Days! After
Sunday 9th September, you can register players through your Team
Manager.
New Players to Derby RFC
Please register with Derby RFC as detailed above and also complete
a RFU form, with TWO passport sized photographs.
If your child has previously played for another rugby club,
but has now decided to train and play at Derby RFC, then they will also need to
complete a
NLD Player Transfer Form (form is in Adobe PDF format).
Derby RFC will
ensure it is sent / signed by their previous club, but please complete the
player’s details and previous club name. This form will be available on
Registration Days and after that from Team Managers. This must be completed by
31st January 2007, but will be processed with your child’s RFU form,
Derby RFC form and subscriptions.
Would you like to volunteer to help?
It’s good to get involved! Derby RFC Mini & Juniors runs on
volunteers (around 90 of them). If you would like to offer some of your time,
please complete the
Volunteer Form (form is in Adobe PDF format)
and hand it in on Registration Days or pass to your
Team Manager. Right now we’re looking for someone to act as Fixtures Secretary
and another as Mini’s Registrations Secretary, but there’s always lots of jobs
to do.
Parent Packs
Please read all the information in the
Parent Pack 2007/08
(Adobe PDF format) and talk you your
child about it too.
We pride ourselves on excellent behaviour and encourage you
to read our
Codes of Conduct.
Derby RFC Web Site
We have an excellent web site that is regularly updated with
useful information such as direction maps for other clubs, fixture changes,
match results and reports, team news etc. You will also find news about club
events and social nights.
Lexus 2007
We have been selected once again this season to host the
Lexus Midlands Junior’s 12’s competition. This will be happening on Sunday 23rd
September, and we are expecting 8 teams in four of the Junior age groups
participating which means on the day we will be expecting 800 players plus
supporters, about 2,500 people. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to raise
some funds and show off our fantastic facility.
To make the best of the event, we need parent support – both
attending, and also offers of help for car parks, stalls, litter picking, etc
would be very welcome. Please contact myself or your team manager for the
latter.
The Launch evening at which Lexus handover our Shirts for the
competition will be on the 14th September this year and will be
preceded by some demonstration games by our newly formed Ladies and Girls sides
and followed by England's crucial game vs South Africa in the World Cup. Lexus
will be supplying a large screen outside to enable us to enjoy the evening al
fresco. So bring your relatives and enjoy the game which will be accompanied by
a Hog Roast and BBQ and plenty of beautiful Lexus vehicles to look at and place
an order for.
